syntax's core accessibility features (read-aloud, dyslexia/readable mode, simplify, dictation) are free, on-device, and stay free — there's nothing to refund there. Paid plans (Pro, Student, bring-your-own-key, Team) bill monthly. We never charge a lump annual fee — where an annual rate is offered, it only locks a lower monthly price that's still billed each month.
Cancel your plan anytime from your account, in one click, with no retention maze. Cancellation stops all future billing. You keep access through the end of the period you've already paid for.
If you'd rather keep your work, pause instead of cancel. Your account moves to a paused state, billing stops, and your data is retained so you can pick up where you left off. Resuming is one click.
Monthly charges pay for the month of access ahead and are generally non-refundable once the period has begun — but you can cancel anytime to stop any further charge. If you were billed in error, or the service failed to deliver what it promised, contact us and we will make it right.
We send advance notice before every renewal. Paid plans renew automatically until you cancel; we never spring a surprise charge on you.
